In Singapore a tech savvy music teacher gave her students the task of creating a podcast about the music they were studying and post it to her site online. Much to the teachers surprise the assignment was a great success and students later learned some of the ins and outs of compressing the files in certain format to better submit and replay the media. With the podcasts flowing in the teacher later began to work out more of the kinks in the students presentations. This turned out to be truly one of the greatest web 2.0 experiences witnessed by the students in that school.

There is a collaborative effort internationally to focus on people as the new investment or product by educating them, especially children, who would normally go without a formalized education learning only to work in heavily stressful industry. These additional efforts allow teachers to balance the medium for these children in these communities by bringing educational concepts and perspectives that will shortly come familiar with. In a nut shell they are share education and educating the world as one through access to these resources. It is a great way to invest in the bright and gleaming life of little ones who deserve the rights as other children do around the world. Also they have taken the walls off of the passion of the teachers that want to make certain that these kids get it.

In Asia a there are teachers from all over that travel to different school locations to assist with their learning and teaching programs. One such individual has been traveling and documenting the various schools activities and invitations for assistance from qualified teachers and helpers. In his blog he highlights the activities and some of the curriculum that is being adhered at these international schools. Some of the schools have websites, but are not necessarily functionally equipped to blog. However, their daily routines are being conveyed by those educational professionals that visit, teach, and document the progress being made at these overseas locations. I think that this is wonderful because more than a few people are beginning to be able to access the same sources of information or learn
how others are progressing or not. The updates through blogging keep everyone abreast locally and worldwide.

The 21st Century education specialists that are working over seas are keeping the world in tact by working with other literary specialist to increase the efficiency of academic excellence. The technology specialists work closely with the international school libraries to find literary resources that work hand and hand with the present curriculum. This information is reviewed and provided to create a way for students to use

On this site the instructor talks about a number of topics, but the majority of how these events tie in to his teaching and living experience in Alaska. The teacher talks about how he has found out how much more his students need to learn about giving presentations and speaking before other students. He also mentioned how a simple exercise that his daughter remembered from the sixth grade helped him to reach his students and get them to perform on another level. The instructor uses the blog to document the effectiveness or use of the lessons his class has participated in.

Ms. Coy has been using her blog to share information and lessons of interaction that other teachers have used to involve students and get feedback from those students. One of the areas in her blog dealt with student’s blogging their ideas of safety and the instructor provided them feedback as to what they needed to consider. She stated that a few members of the community asked to deactivate the project because they did not think that it was productive for the students, when in fact it had been very effective and the students did use the suggestions.

Many teachers and professors have begun to use blogging to provide greater proficiency for teacher development by presenting the information in the blogs to be read or resourced. With this type of information many teachers who may have not thought of or had some of this information are able to bring on board what is taking place in other schools. This therefore enables them to continue the balance of knowledge for themselves as well as broaden the perspective of the students that they are teaching.

In addition to the information shared helping the teachers students directly, they are also able to share this information with their other co-professionals to bring them up to par if they in fact do not have the information. Some teachers using their classrooms as live sessions using this technology and this allows the viewer to see exactly what the teacher is doing concerning the teaching of their curriculum. This live feed also allows for a greater learning experience through live conversation.

ACCESS

In the classroom I would use powerpoint to paint the greatest pictures therefore making it easier for students to conceptualize what is being conveyed. By using pictures, art, graphic, and text emphasis, student’s interest will be kept longer as well as heightened. Tools such as powerpoint do not crowd the mind while an instructor is speaking when done correctly.

It has been proven that by not only using the traditional auditory method of conveying information, but also using the highly visual aid such as powerpoint, the information that students take in is effectively learned long term as opposed to just retained in short. I will use all means of this instrument along with notes to support my students more than monomethod of learning.

Because powerpoint has been and is such an effective tool, it creates an interaction with students and the teaching professional by getting students involved. As you make certain to notate all of your references on the slides, you have the opportunity to direct each of your students to access the site and provide you a paper or small paragraph as to what they think or understand about the material covered. This in turn provides you with some feedback as to how good of a job you may have done when providing the information to them. It serves as an awesome tool for learning and even entertainment.

ALEX

I reviewed this site for educational professionals, teachers, and students. The site is phenomenal as it contains an assortment of features for almost if not everything needed for an educators support. On the site I noticed that it contained information for every manner of course matter, subdivided into different areas of specification. It contained information for teachers to use or direct students to for remedial or background study.

The site even allowed for students of different levels the opportunity to have fun while learning with tools per age and grade level. I found the lesson plan submissions and to opportunity to store them quite fascinating. This site and interactive domain is a one-stop shop for excellence in many regards. It impressed me thoroughly.

For quite some time teaching professionals have used tools provided to them as well as suggesting a number of updates and tools that would make them most proficient and effective when conveying the information to students. With there having been an absence of better materials and tools to work with, I really feel that we are beginning to meet the demands of what has been needed with the access tools that ALEX offers.

As a teaching professional there are resources to help you help the students. With a resource like this one a teacher can be more organized and better equipped to interact with their students. I would use this tool to reinforce any areas of opportunity for my students as well as allow it to cultivate their interest by using it in the classroom and or sending students there for more information about different subjects.

Public Courtesy

Many people these days are not making it a point to render public courtesy. Many think that it is all about their needs and desires alone and of course it is not. For example, when you are out in the restaurants there are those who refuse to wash their hands when using the facility, but quickly shake yours. This is not courteous or sanitary. So we need to keep this in mind and along with other courtesies and treat one another with respect.
